OVERVIEW
The Raindrop Detection Sensor Module is designed to sense the presence of rainfall or water droplets on its surface. It consists of a rain detection board and a control module with an LM393 comparator, which converts the moisture level on the board into a clean digital or analog signal.
When water drops fall on the sensor board, its conductivity changes — allowing the module to output a signal indicating rainfall. The sensitivity can be easily adjusted using the onboard potentiometer.
This sensor is commonly used in weather monitoring stations, automatic wiper systems, and smart irrigation setups. It works seamlessly with Arduino, ESP32, NodeMCU, and Raspberry Pi microcontrollers.
🧠 Features:
- Detects raindrops and surface moisture
- Adjustable sensitivity for different weather conditions
- Dual output: Analog and Digital
- Onboard LEDs for power and output indication
- Corrosion-resistant detection board for outdoor use
- Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers
📦 Applications:
- Smart irrigation and greenhouse automation
- Rain detection in weather monitoring systems
- Automatic car wiper or roof control
- Rain alarm or alert systems
- IoT-based weather stations
