OVERVIEW
The MQ-2 Gas Sensor Module is a highly sensitive gas detection sensor capable of sensing LPG, Butane, Propane, Methane, Hydrogen, and Smoke concentrations in the air. It provides both analog and digital outputs, making it easy to interface with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
The sensor uses an SnO₂ (tin dioxide) layer, whose conductivity changes with the gas concentration, allowing accurate detection. It’s commonly used in home safety systems, gas leakage alarms, and IoT-based air quality monitoring projects.
